Help Defend SIJ RFA Coverage

Thursday, November 3, 2022

IPSIS and the Multisociety Pain Workgroup (MPW) are continuing to propose coverage criteria and present supporting evidence to the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) that are currently considering misclassifying sacroiliac joint radiofrequency ablation as medically unnecessary.

On behalf of IPSIS, Drs. Alison Stout and Byron Schneider have represented your interests in opposing these proposed Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) at public meetings of these MACs.

You too can promote appropriate access for Medicare patients by reaching out to your MAC by the deadline below to:

  • support coverage as outlined in the MPW letter, and/or
  • share your own experiences and patient success stories.
