Michael T. McCann, MD

Dr. McCann is board-certified in pain management by the ABA since 1994. He graduated from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and did his first 2 years of residency in surgery at Indiana University Medical School. He was Chief Resident at Baylor College of Medicine in anesthesiology before completing a fellowship in spine care at Baylor College of Medicine and pain management at Texas Tech University. Dr. McCann then joined the staff of Baylor College of Medicine and was the Director of the Pain Management accredited fellowship program with Assistant Professorships in the Departments of PM&R and Anesthesiology with NIH grant work in the Department of Neurosurgery focusing on work in spinal cord evoked potentials.

In 1996, he moved into private interventional spine practice at the Texas Orthopedic Hospital, but continues his teaching with the combined University of Texas and Baylor Orthopedic Spinal Surgery fellowship program.
