Edvin Koshi, MDDr. Koshi completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at Dalhousie University, Canada. He was Chief Resident for three years. He is an Assistant Professor, a lecturer, and an OSCE examiner of the Division of PM&R at Dalhousie University.Dr. Koshi is a Fellow in Pain Medicine (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada) and Fellow in Interventional Pain Practice (World Institute of Pain). Dr. Koshi serves as a Senior Instructor of the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS). He received the IPSIS “Top Instructor Award” in 2014. He is a member of the IPSIS International Education Task Force, IPSIS Education Division, and Continuous Medical Education Planning Committee. He is accredited in “Evidence Based Medicine” (Appraisal of Studies on Treatment Effectiveness and Appraisal of Studies on Diagnostic Tests) by IPSIS. Dr. Koshi serves as an instructor for the Canadian Interventional Pain Course and the World Institute of Pain. Dr. Koshi received an “Excellence” in Evaluation of Disability and Impairment Rating by the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians in 2008. He is a Certified MedicoLegal Evaluator by International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators. He is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He is certified in Evaluation of Functional Capacity Testing by Metrics Education Inc. Dr. Koshi was the founder and the chair of the Pain and Rehabilitation Special Interest Group of Canadian Association of PM&R. He was the chair of the Canadian Section of the World Institute of Pain. He is the present Medical Director of Halifax Spine and Pain Institute. |
