IPSIS Presents Evidence to Highmark, Urging Coverage for Neuroablative Procedures

On April 22, 2020, the International Pain & Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS) issued a comment letter to Highmark in response to coverage policies classifying lateral branch radiofrequency neurotomy and genicular nerve radiofrequency ablation as investigational. IPSIS presents the best available evidence for both procedures and urges coverage for suitably selected patients.
