IPSIS Supports Coverage of Radiofrequency Ablation of Genicular Nerves

In early January 2019, IPSIS submitted comment letters to 10 payers nationwide in support of radiofrequency ablation ofthe genicular nerves associated with knee osteoarthritis. The Society’s comments refute classification of these procedures as investigational and advocate for coverage in appropriately selected patients. Letters were sent to the following organizations:
