Calling Congress to Address Medicare Payments

Tuesday, June 24, 2025

On June 23, 2025, IPSIS joined 75 clinician organizations in a letter urging the Senate to include a key Medicare payment provision from the House-passed H.R. 1 in its upcoming legislative package. This provision would establish a permanent, inflation-based update to the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS), helping to stabilize payments that have declined 33% (adjusted for inflation) since 2001.

IPSIS is advocating for this reform to protect access to spine and pain care, especially in rural and underserved communities where independent practices are disappearing at an alarming rate.
