IPSIS Urges Congressional Action to Prevent Medicare Physician Payment Cuts

Monday, November 18, 2024

IPSIS, along with national and state medical organizations, has called on Congress to enact immediate legislative action to prevent the scheduled 2.83% Medicare physician payment cut and provide a positive payment update for 2025. IPSIS strongly supports H.R. 10073, the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act of 2024, which proposes replacing the 2.83% cut with a 1.8% positive payment update for 2025.

IPSIS will continue to advocate to stop the pending cuts set to take place on Jan 1, 2025. You can help, too, by calling your Senators and urging them to cosign the Boozman/Welch Dear Colleague letter to Senate Leadership related to the impending MPFS pay cuts.
