Zoom Hearing on SCS Coverage This Friday

On Friday, November 17, 2023, the Washington State Health Technology Clinical Committee (HTCC) is holding a public hearing via Zoom to determine the future of spinal cord stimulation (SCS) coverage in the Evergreen State.

The hearing will begin at 9:00 AM PT, with public commentary slated to begin at 10:00 AM. We have organized an evidence-based team presentation to represent IPSIS' Washington State members during this time. Over the past two months, IPSIS has coordinated the Washington State Physicians SCS Workgroup to advocate for appropriate, evidence-based coverage.

We urge all Washington state interventional pain physicians and stakeholders to support patients’ access to comprehensive pain care by participating in this important policy determination. IPSIS will continue to work with other organizations to influence decisions made by the HTCC.
