IPSIS Advocates for Improved Diagnostic Criteria in Molina Healthcare’s Clinical Policy

Tuesday, June 13, 2023
IPSIS has submitted a letter 🔒 to Molina Healthcare in response to its Facet Joint/MBB Diagnostic Injections for Chronic Spinal Pain clinical policy. The letter recommends the removal of physical exam maneuvers as a diagnostic criterion for facet joint syndrome, emphasizing more reliable and consistent diagnostic methods. Additionally, SIS encourages Molina to adopt the widely supported threshold of an 80% reduction in pain for determining positive results in MBB.
