Wesley R. Ibazebo, MD, Represents IPSIS at AMA RUC Meeting

The International Pain and Spine Intervention Society’s Wesley R. Ibazebo, MD, is representing IPSIS members at the January 2023, American Medical Association (AMA) Relative Value Update Committee (RUC) meeting in Naples, Florida.

RUC is the advisory body to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that reviews medical procedures and provides Relative Value Unit (RVU) recommendations. Recommendations approved at this RUC meeting will be presented to CMS for final authorization and publication in the 2024 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule.

In order for IPSIS to maintain our seat at this and other important AMA forums, a significant percentage of our members be AMA members. We urge all IPSIS members to maintain AMA membership to ensure that interventional pain medicine interests are properly addressed.
