IPSIS Urges CMS to Rescind Policy That Disrupts Team-based Care in the Facility Setting

IPSIS joined the American Medical Association and other specialty societies in submitting a letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) urging them to rescind a recently implemented policy regarding billing for split or shared visits. The letter requests that CMS propose a new policy that will allow physicians or qualified healthcare professionals (QHP) to bill split or shared visits based on time or medical decision-making.
