CDC Seeks Comments on Proposed 2022 Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids

Saturday, March 5, 2022
The Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking comments on a recently proposed clinical practice guideline that updates and expands the CDC Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain. While IPSIS is reviewing the draft and preparing comments focused on the important role of interventional pain procedures in reducing, eliminating, and preventing reliance on opioids, we encourage our members to review the guidelines and submit their own comments as well. IPSIS will share our recommendations with members once finalized to assist those who wish to comment. The draft guideline can be found here. Comments are due April 11, 2022.
