Join the IPSIS-led Multisociety Effort Promoting Appropriate Medicare SIJ Intervention Coverage

Friday, March 4, 2022

You can help promote appropriate access to sacroiliac joint (SIJ) interventions for Medicare patients. Forward this email to any Contractor Advisory Committee (CAC) members you know and share this information via the social media icons above.

The International Pain and Spine Intervention Society convened the Multisociety Pain Workgroup (MPW) to summarize the best available evidence and develop recommendations regarding the appropriate coverage of SIJ interventions. The resulting comment letters below, signed by IPSIS and 9 other medical specialty societies, have been shared with medical directors and any CAC members for whom we have contact information in advance of the March 10, 2022, Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Multi-jurisdictional CAC meeting.
