IPSIS Convenes MPW to Promote Appropriate Coverage of Sacroiliac Joint Interventions

The International Pain and Spine Intervention Society is convening the Multisociety Pain Workgroup (MPW) to develop a letter summarizing the best available evidence and proposing recommendations regarding the appropriate coverage of sacroiliac joint interventions in preparation for the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) multijurisdictional Contractor Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting on March 10th. The resulting letter will help inform the discussion during the meeting and promote development and implementation of coverage criteria that will ensure appropriate access to these procedures for Medicare patients.

As soon as the letter is finalized, IPSIS members will be encouraged to share it with any CAC members who will be participating in the meeting. More information and a link to register to observe the meeting can be found here.
