Scott Naftulin, DO, Named the IPSIS Instructor of the Year

On Friday, August 20, 2021, at the SIS Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., Scott Naftulin, DO, was presented the IPSIS Instructor of the Year Award.

Dr. Naftulin received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1987. After completion of an internship and family practice residency at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, he completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York, NY. He then completed his fellowship in sports medicine and electromyography at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.

Dr. Naftulin is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by both the American Osteopathic Association and ABPMR. He has subspecialty certification in pain medicine. He is past president of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a clinical professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and at DeSales University.

Dr. Naftulin is a physician partner and the Interventional Spine and MSK Medicine fellowship director at NERA Spine, Sports & Pain Medicine in Eastern Pennsylvania. He was recognized as a Master Instructor for the Spine Intervention Society in 2011. Dr. Naftulin formerly served on the International Education Committee, currently serves on the Education Division and the Online Learning Committee, and is currently chair of the Annual Meeting Program Committee for the Spine Intervention Society.
