IPSIS and Others Welcome New CMMI Director and Recommend Alternative Payment Model Improvements

On May 25, 2021, IPSIS, along with 42 other specialty societies, joined the AMA in sending a letter to Elizabeth Fowler, the new Deputy Administrator and Director of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), congratulating her on her appointment and making recommendations to improve the process for designing and implementing alternative payment models (APMs). The organizations request better engagement of the physician community in their development.
