IPSIS Seeks Extension of the Moratorium on Medicare Sequester Cuts While the COVID Pandemic Persists

On February 12, 2021, IPSIS joined the American Medical Association and dozens of national specialty and state medical societies representing the vast majority of physicians practicing in the United States to urge Congress to pass legislation to extend the current moratorium on the two percent Medicare payment sequester beyond the March 31 expiration date. Specifically, the letter strongly urges Congress to pass H.R. 315, the “Medicare Sequester COVID Moratorium Act”—bipartisan legislation that would continue the current Medicare sequester moratorium for the duration of the public health emergency.
