The International Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS) recently reviewed the North American Spine Society’s (NASS) draft coverage policy recommendations on epidural steroid injections (ESI). The letter commends NASS on the draft and suggests revisions clarifying appropriate indications and procedural requirements to ensure the safe performance of ESIs in appropriately selected patients.
