SIS Suggests Evidence-Based Improvements to Humana’s Injections for Chronic Pain Conditions Coverage

Humana’s Injections for Chronic Pain Conditions coverage policy (effective January 1, 2018) includes coverage criteria that SIS has identified as inconsistent with the best available evidence and multisociety-endorsed coverage policy recommendations. On January 10, 2018, the Society provided Humana with detailed suggestions to improve patient access and outcomes. Read the comment letter for further details.
