Multisociety Comments Submitted to CMS on Draft Guidance "Patient Relationship Categories and Codes"

In an August 15, 2016 comment letter to the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), SIS joined the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Pain Society, and the Society of Interventional Radiology in advocating for the development of new patient relationship categories and codes that account for the special role played by chronic pain medicine clinicians.
