ISIS Represented at Spine Summit

Dr. Timothy Maus, ISIS Treasurer, represented ISIS at the NASS-convened Spine Summit on August 8, 2014. The agenda included updates and information on a variety of topics, such as: registries, guidelines, and appropriate use criteria; advocacy efforts; patient safety issues; payer relations and reimbursement; and coverage recommendations. ISIS remains committed to collaboration with other medical associations on topics of mutual interest.
Other attendees included: the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS); the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM); the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R); the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) / Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS); the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA); the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA); the American Society of Spine Radiology (ASSR); the Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS); the North American Spine Society (NASS); and, the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS).
