Patricia Zheng, MD

Dr. Patricia Zheng is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) specialist who treats patients with neck and back pain using nonoperative, minimally invasive approaches, including image-guided spinal injections. Her research focuses on identifying predictors of chronic low back pain and developing tools to estimate individual outcomes. She serves as Chief of the PM&R Division at the University of California –San Francisco and is the Melissa J. Ma Endowed Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. She is Chair of the IPSIS Research and a member of the Patient Safety Committee, and enjoys mentoring emerging interventional pain medicine researchers through the Research Mentorship Committee.
