Benoy Benny, MD

Dr. Benny is a nationally recognized spine and musculoskeletal physician. He is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) specialist who specializes in spine and musculoskeletal care. He did his internship at Wayne State University and his PM&R residency at the Baylor-University of Texas Alliance in Houston, Texas. He then went on to complete an Interventional Spine and Sports Fellowship through the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

In 2006, Dr. Benny developed the Spine and Sports Fellowship at The Baylor College of Medicine through the department of PM&R. He currently is in private practice as the founder and Medical Director of The Spine and Sports Center while continuing to help with resident and fellowship education.

Dr. Benny is a clinical adjunct associate professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He also is clinical faculty at the Houston Methodist Hospital, Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and Fellowship Director for the North American Spine Society (NASS) accredited Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship at The Spine and Sports Center, Houston.

He continues to be involved nationally with the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society and previously served as the Vice Chair of the Fundraising Committee and part of the Planning Committee for the IPSIS Annual Meeting as well as being involved with NASS as part of the section on Comprehensive Episodes of Spine Care (CESC) as well as the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R). He currently serves on the IPSIS Board of Directors as a member-at-large.
