Scott Naftulin, DO

Dr. Naftulin received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1987. After completion of an internship and family practice residency at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center in New York, New York. He then completed his fellowship in sports medicine and electromyography at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

Dr. Naftulin is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by both the American Osteopathic Association and ABPMR. He has subspecialty certification in pain medicine. He is past president of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a clinical professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and at DeSales University.

He is a physician partner at NERA Spine, Sports & Pain Medicine in Eastern Pennsylvania and was recognized as a Master Instructor for the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS) in 2011. Dr. Naftulin previously served IPSIS as Vice-Co-Chair of the Education Division from 2022-2023, Vice-Chair and ultimately Chair of the IPSIS Annual Program Planning Committee from 2020-22, and on the International Education Committee.

He is the Chair of the Member Engagement Division and continues to instruct and direct IPSIS Bio-Skills Labs after being named Instructor of the Year in 2021.
