IPSIS Calls for Revision of Blue Shield of California's Facet Joint Denervation Policy

On June 8, 2023, IPSIS has submitted a letter 🔒 expressing its concerns about Blue Shield of California's Facet Joint Denervation Medical Policy (Policy 7.01.116). The letter emphasizes the importance of evidence-based medicine and access to appropriate interventional pain care and addresses the inadvertent exclusion of the C2-3 level, and advocating for a higher threshold in positive response criteria.
