IPSIS Advocates for LBRFN Coverage

IPSIS continues to advocate for appropriate coverage of lateral branch radiofrequency neurotomy (LBRFN). On October 11, IPSIS sent EviCore Healthcare 🔒 and NGS 🔒 letters disagreeing with their classifications of LBRFN as experimental, investigational, or unproven. The Society recommends coverage in appropriately-selected patients, based on the best available evidence and the IPSIS-convened multispecialty collaborative-endorsed set of appropriate use criteria for sacroiliac interventions.
