ISIS Participating in Valuing the Work of Epidural Injections

ISIS is involved in the activities of the AMA/Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC), which determines proper Relative Value Units (RVUs) for each CPT® code. In order to provide meaningful input regarding procedures under review, information regarding the work involved in the procedure must be collected from practicing members. Within the next two weeks a random sample of ISIS members will receive an invitation to fill out a survey on physician work.

Please assure that, if you are selected, you participate in the survey in order to assure relative values will be accurately and fairly presented to CMS. These values determine the rate at which Medicare and other payers reimburse for procedures.

ISIS assures that a physician representative and staff attend each RUC meeting to assure that ISIS member interests are accurately represented when interventional spine procedures are valued.
