Jeffrey Summers, MDDr. Summers is the Director of Interventional Pain Management Division, NewSouth NeuroSpine in Flowood, MS. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi ("Ole Miss") in Oxford. He attended medical school at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX. Dr. Summers completed a fellowship in pain management at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, and in 1992, underwent further training in advanced pain management interventions at the Pain Relief Institute and Walton Centre for Neurosurgical Sciences, in Walton, England.Dr. Summers is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, with Added Qualifications in pain management. Becker's Orthopedic and Spine Review recently selected him as one of 70 of the Best Pain Management Physicians in America. Dr. Summers is a Past President and a Master Instructor for the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society. |
