Renée Melfi, MDDr. Renée S. Melfi graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 1998. She finished an internship in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was Co-Chief Resident and received the resident achievement award. She completed a musculoskeletal medicine and interventional spine fellowship at Louisiana State University and accomplished further advanced interventional spine training working as a staff physician under the mentorship of Dr. Charles Aprill.Dr. Melfi is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain medicine, and integrative holistic medicine. She is also certified in medical acupuncture. She has been in private practice since 2004 and is the founder of Regenerative Spine & Musculoskeletal Medicine in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Melfi is an active member in a number of societies including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Pain Medicine, International Pain and Spine Intervention Society, and North American Spine Society. |
