Fred DeFrancesch, MDDr. Fred DeFrancesch graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine in New Orleans in May 1995 and followed at LSU with a combined residency in internal medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and pain medicine and has served 10 years as Assistant Clinical Professor at both LSU and Tulane Schools of Medicine. During that time, he also served as active faculty in the ACGME-accredited pain fellowship at LSU.Dr. DeFrancesch is the founder of NeuroMuscular Medical Associates, a private, multi-specialty group with multiple locations serving southeast Louisiana. He has also founded a private, twelve-month fellowship training physicians in spinal interventions and advanced techniques in association with Interventional Spine Specialists, which includes instruction from the esteemed Dr. Charles Aprill. Dr. DeFrancesch is an active member of various medical societies including the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society. |
